Protests erupt in Austin Texas Against Racism!
Protests erupt across the nation this past weekend following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Monday, May 25. Minneapolis police held his knee on Floyd for nearly 9 minutes. America appears to be on edge.
These protests against racism and police brutality are many layers deep. People are protesting after the police kill a Black man, then it is quiet. Sometime later, the same thing happens again. People are tired of protesting with little or no results.
Police departments are spending millions of dollars on police training, but police are still killing Black men.

The pain, outrage, and desperation have spilled out into the streets all over America.
Minneapolis Police Chief stated, “Silence and inaction is complicity” and “the Floyd incident is a violation of humanity.”

Over 40 American cities have curfews as of May 31, 2020.
