Were you at the Family Reunion Tour Featuring Gladys Knight & the O'Jays at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on Friday night? If so, you saw an awesome old school show. Let me tell you, they did not miss a note, beat or step. Gladys introduced one of the Pips to the audience named Bubba which is her brother. She ended her show with her all time favorite, “Midnight Train to Georgia.” Eddie Levert and Walter Williams of the O’jays according to Walter first met at 7 years old and now both of them are 71 and 70 years old respectively. Very few groups have known each other and stayed together so long. Well that is our gain because the O’Jays gave the people what they wanted as their song goes. They also gave the people many of the favorites we enjoyed in the 70’s. It was a great show at the ACL.
