Boney James Slow Burn Tour in Austin 2025

Boney James returned to Austin for another soulful performance at the historic Paramount Theatre on October 18, 2025, as part of his acclaimed Slow Burn Tour.

After hearing Grover Washington's "Mr. Magic," Boney was inspired to play the saxophone. He performed "Mr. Magic" for about a minute, humorously stating, "This is one of those songs, we could play those same two cords all night long and it still won't be enough for you." The crowd enjoyed "Sweet Thing," a fan favorite, along with several songs from his new 19th record, "Slow Burn." Boney described "Slow Burn" as “a feeling that grows with a slow but deliberate intensity.” He also played the smooth and relaxing song "Butter" and concluded the 14-song evening with “Grazin.”

The event was a vibrant celebration of smooth jazz, with a strong turnout from the community at the Paramount Theatre.
