Richard Overton, World War Veteran II passed on December 27, 2018 at the age of 112

I am sad to report that Richard Overton passed on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the age of 112 after battling pneumonia. Overton was a World War II veteran and was an inspiration for not only Austin, Texas but for many across the world. We will deeply miss his sharp wit, kindness and love. Rest in Peace Richard!! Richard Arvin Overton’s funeral will be held on January 12, 2019 at Shoreline Church, 15201 Burnet Road in Austin, Texas at 11 PM.
