Patti Labelle, Kenneth Edmonds (Babyface) and Tamia Grant performed on February 16, 2020.

Grammy-Award winner Patti LaBelle can still hit the high notes after a 50-year career. She told us she was 75 years old. She walked out in her heels and two minutes later, she kicked them off and begun her performance in flats or slippers. If you have not heard Patti live recently or never at all, you need to attend one of her performances.

Grammy-Award winner (11 awards) Babyface still has Whip Appeal, and he let us know during his performance. Babyface performed many of his favourites along with a few popular old school hits such as Earth Wind and Fire “Reasons”, Bobby Brown “Every Little Step You Take”, “Tender Roni” and “Rock Wit’ Cha Baby.” Babyface mentioned Luther Vandross and we thought he was going to perform one of his songs but he said he respects Luther too much to try and sing one of his songs but he did have one of his singers perform a Tevin Campbell song, “Can We talk For a Minute.” The singer sounded like El Barge.

Tamia Hill started a great night of music with a solid performance.  Hill stated she has been married for over 20 years. Although Tamia did not mention her husband, I noted that she is married to former NBA star, Grant Hill. Tamia performed many of her hits including the Quincy Jones produced “You Put a Move On My Heart.”

It was a great night of musical performances for the audience that appreciated the music of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
