Novak Djokovic won his 20th Grand Slam singles
Novak Djokovic won his 20th Grand Slam Singles title on Sunday to tie Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for Grand Slam titles. Djokovic had to come back to beat Matteo Berrettini 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 in the Wimbledon final. Djokovic who is ranked No. 1 earned his third consecutive championship at the All England Club and sixth overall. The 34-year-old Djokovic from Serbia is now the only man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win the first three major tournaments in one season. Djokovic can shoot for a calendar-year Grand Slam at the U.S. Open, which starts on August 30, 2021. Rod Laver accomplished a calendar-year Grand Slam 52 years ago.
