Billy Dee Williams at the Greater Austin Comic Con
Billy Dee Williams, 85, was the headliner at the Greater Austin Comic Con on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Also pictured is Billy Dee Williams's son, Corey Dee Williams
Williams started his career with roles in the films “Diana Ross in Lady Sings The Blues” and “Mahogany.” Williams also had Emmy-nominated performances in “Brian’s Song.” Many of the fans at Comic Con know Williams as the smooth-talking smuggler Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars Series. Some people like myself remember those smooth Colt 45 commercials in the ’80s and ’90s. Williams recently shot a commercial about Black wealth.
Corey Dee Williams worked as his dad’s stand-in while filming Return of the Jedi. Before becoming a fitness and lifestyle coach, Corey also worked behind the scenes in filmmaking.
