Truth Tellers: Black Women’s Influence on Economy, Politics, and Culture

Glenda Carr stated that Black women want to tell their truth, organize and talk in a safe environment. She said that Black women must be comfortable with their voice and be fearless. Carr went on to say, “When you have a house that's built by Black women and a table that's built by Black women, her grandmother always had enough food and extra space for someone else.” Carr went on to say that Black women like her great grandmother born in 1895 and the Black women of the 21^st century have the unique ability always to have a space that is inclusive for Black men and our white allies. ©2019 Michael Lewis Global Photography All Rights Reserved
